Absolute Criminals we tried to cancel several times, but they wouldn't let us without charging us a $25.00 even though we had been members for 6+ months which our contract said was the timeline for the cancelation fee to no longer apply. We kept getting charged each month. The people we finally got to talk to were dishonest. Please learn from our mistakes, DON'T SIGN UP WITH THESE CRIMINALS! Cost me $200 I'll never get back.

TERRIBLE----UNETHICAL----EXCEPTIONALLY POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!
Signed up with VASA in February/2020
Due to Covid-19 gym was closed mid-MARCH/2020
E-mail contact is the only method to handle billing related inquiry. Response times are not timely and take significantly longer than the 72 hours advised. This has been going on all year.
Representatives will not escalate ANYTHING---I had an email trail of OVER 25 E-MAILS before a representative let me know she had to ask permission to escalate my case and get the escalation approved first! Then the representative said I had to leave a voicemail when she transferred me to management to receive a call back.
Subscription based is not applicable ------when a location is not available for use!!
VASA repeatedly claimed that even if the gym was not available, that their subscription was not usage based--their breach in contract was prior by not offering the service I paid for.
This structure is completely unethical as we are in a GLOBAL health crises and people cannot "put a hold" on their account longer than 3 months without being changed a fee. Medical accommodations for longer holds without fees are also not an option for those who are immunocompromised. VASA's health and safety practices DO NOT ALIGN with their billing practices.
If you cancel early, you receive a cancellation fee, if you put your account on hold, you are changed an account hold fee. Despite, GLOBAL PANDEMIC-- medical concerns relating to the reason for holding and cancelling.
There is no warning when your three month "hold" is over and you just get charged---and don't even bother to fight this charge, if you finally get through e-mail and actually have your case escalated---which is nearly impossible, management makes absolutely no exceptions!
Contacting management they didn't even review the account enough to understand the issues. Nor, do they credit you for any inconvenience or try to keep your business.
VASA also charges a subscription "rate-lock" fee yearly, which is done after 60 days. I started in February 2020/ and couldn't even use it for a full 60 days till April 2020---yet they still tried to charge me the fee. I said I would pay it once I've had 60 days of access to the gym! I fought until I was blue in the face for a refund. I'm astonished I actually received one for that.
Also---if you are receiving any refund or credit I would BEG them to put it in writing for you or good luck ever receiving it if they don't follow through (which will take a long time in the first place). I literally had to plead with management to put in writing that my account was cancelled and I was not going to be charged any additional fees. (But of course they still charged me $50 one more time for a service I literally can't use).
Overall, ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
STAY FAR FAR AWAY---don't be tricked by the nice facility---the SERVICE is SO BAD!!!!!

I signed up for a membership to a new club. I was told I would not be charged until the new club opened. They charged me 2 months before they opened than tacked a 60 dollar charge to my bank account. For what? No response, zero response after I wrote them asking to explain their charges. This "club" is a ripoff and I would stay far away from them! I'm contacting thevstate attorney general!

Pretty clean but staff over friendly

Pretty clean but staff over friendly. I feel like I am stealing every time I walk in there because I don’t hang out with staff enough when I am in there but I get a good workout anyway, Always seems like a party on the front end. Ignoring it out right just makes me fell so guilty about using the place.

SCAM!!!!

SCAM!!!!! Don’t go to them and do a simple walk through to see their facility!! The girl at the from desk stated it was for Covid protocol to fill out their iPad online paperwork in order to walk through... I did the walk through. I chose not to join their Gym at that time because I wasn’t finished with my Pilates membership that I still had and loved with Club Pilates! They will charge your card 80.00 for nothing!!!! ????????????????and put you in a contract so you have to pay more!! To get out!!! ???????????????? I will be calling the Department of health for them falsifying Covid procedures and stated it was for contact tracing and using this as a way to get people to sign up also I will be contacting my attorney I spoke to a lady by the name of Lori as the manager and I hope she is willing to get things figured out otherwise I will definitely be going after them legal actions.

If I could rate no stars I would they…

If I could rate no stars I would they put this 19.99 price in your face and your thinking wow that’s pretty damn cheap. Wrong this place will find any little way to charge you a fee. You got a fee to freeze the account. You got a yearly fee that gets added when you’ve only had a membership for about 2 months hmmm that makes sense. Also money is tight right now with the whole pandemic thing so if your looking to cancel cause the other fees are draining your account it’s very simple you just pay an extra 25 dollars on top of the yearly 49 on top of the already paid 19.99 that looks so lovely but becomes riddled with fees. Vasa fix yourself!

I love the gym and the staff always…

I love the gym and the staff always smiling and being friendly however, today I’ve got kicked out . We all know the mask rule but we also know that once in a while we have to pull it down to breathe, it’s not easy doing cardio with something over your mouth and nose and she definitely knows that because I stood there and watched her doing cardio with a mask pulled down also ,at the same time she goes around and only picks a few people out of all, even today after she was done with me she walked past three people with their mask down and as I watched her going back to the desk these people never pull their masks up because she never told them. I call her a hypocrite because I’ve been watching her doing the same thing over and over and she’s telling me to pull up my mask. She went and call her manager to cover her butt then came back with a witness to kick me out as I told her I know she’s doing her job but she has to understand that we have to breathe as she does the same thing when she works out. I don’t understand how they expect us to work out and sweat with a muzzle over our faces. All I told her is I understand but I need a break and you should understand because you do the same thing but I guess she didn’t like me calling her a hypocrite and calling her out.I understand she’s doing her job but don’t be a hypocrite.

I am sure like many people who are not…

I am sure like many people who are not comfortable about returning to the gym due to COVID, when Vasa Fitness decided to open their doors during a pandemic they assumed everyone was going to still come to the gym and want to force you to pay when you are not willing to risk your life in a DAMN GYM!!!! *#@! VASA

Super disappointed with their money-hungry Covid response

The gym itself is lovely but their Covid responses are the WORST. I just joined 4 weeks ago and they were forced to implement new restrictions - that part is understandable. Them charging me $99 to cancel after only 4 weeks and wanting to cancel because of Covid restrictions is my problem. I even asked nicely if they would split that fee with me since Covid isn't anybody's fault but NO - I'm the one who gets to suffer and line their corporate pockets. Way to go VASA. You'll never be seeing ME again.

Stealing bank information and attempting to charge on behalf of closed gym

They sent my parents to a collection lawyer when 24 hr fitness transferred them without ANY consent.
We tried to call VASA and both my father and I on separate occasions were on hold for 45 and 1 hr: and 20 mins but their pre-recorded message was "due to Covid... blah blah blah"... There has never been any sort of communication from either 24 hr fitness nor vasa. Not through e-mail, not through phone.... we checked all of their spam folders, their inboxes, NOTHING!
We got in contact with their collections attorney and after 2 weeks of waiting they sent us the contract that we signed with 24 hr fitness and tell us that they are charging on behalf of Vasa. My parents, never gave vasa their banking information, nor consent to be transferred, they don't even like how dirty the Vasa by our house is.
We are filing a complaint with the state and filing with the small claims court.
I cannot leave links here but if you try to google "Fox news Utah 24 hr hours fitness transferring members without consent" you will find the article
If you are going through this same situation google: Pro Bono lawyers near me and file a lawsuit against this illegal practice of stealing bank information and then sending people to the collection without ANY agreement with VASA. If anything, 24 hr fitness was in breach of their own agreement but don't let this people steal your money, they bank on you giving up, getting frustrated or not knowing what to do. This is an illegal practice and your city hall can give your the phone number to place complaints against illegal practices.
